I considered marriage-related mistakes. The first of which, for some, was getting married. Once I had the copy, I was image-driven to find a wedding dress that juxtaposed a bold font with lace, rendering a 3D look.Despite the unconventional approach & vanity domain supporting the headline/location, the concept was approved.Unexpected twist: Initially, the board location was shown next to a nondescript building. The posting photo revealed a different angle; the building was a Baptist church. The context amplifies the impact, making it seem intentional when it wasn't, but the client knew.

Melody Roberts is the founder and CCO of Out of Home Creative, an outdoor advertising creative agency.
