• Spacing is a platform for people renting parklets to test their brilliant ideas and hold events (project main focus).• Spacing helps business and property owners build parklets and become parklet hosts.• It is also a website for people to look up the parklet events around them.Spacing is an independent research and design sprint exploring how on-street parking lanes could be used in more diverse and valuable ways during the transition to an era of autonomous vehicles.

I’m Yue (Karlie). I have a background in Landscape Architecture (Master of Landscape Architecture, University of Washington, Seattle). I’m also a (self-educated) user experience designer. I find passion in the discipline because it constantly challenges me to think, raise questions, and find solutions. I love UX design also because it encourages me to talk to more people, listen to diverse opinions, and think from different perspectives.
