Inspired by my living experience in Los Angeles, I was often mistaken for Korean or Japanese—a misrecognition shared by many other Chinese people I interviewed. This recurring experience led me to question how identity is perceived and labeled across cultures. I was able to explore the theory of identity in society. The book is a visual exploration of modern identity, shaped by personal encounters and collective narratives.
