un;spoken addresses the taboo topic of self-harm and aims to bring it out of society’s shadows to destigmatize it. The project consists of two main components: a film designed to foster emotional understanding among close relatives, and a print medium directly aimed at those affected. As key design elements, macro shots of abstract materials and the handwriting of real affected individuals are used to make the emotional depth of self-harm visible.
