The Fog of Memory is a four-part illustration series about memory, loss, and role reversal between mother and daughter.Inspired by caring for my mother with Alzheimer’s, the story begins when she leaves the door open and our cat disappears—a quiet accident that becomes a metaphor for fading memory.Through misty forests and glowing lakes, a girl searches for what’s lost. The cat becomes memory itself: elusive, but not gone. Even as things slip away, love lingers in softer forms. This is a quiet meditation on caregiving, grief, and enduring connection.
