Designing the catalogue for The Best Dutch Book Designs was both an honor and a challenge. Conceived as a curated exhibition, it gave each of the 33 winning books space and clarity through a unique folding system, turning entries into “mini-books.”Dutch and English texts were aligned for ease of use. Crafted by six printers using varied paper types, the catalogue became a tactile exploration of craftsmanship. A red and purple Wibalin hardcover with embossing added refinement, while Studio Another Day’s photos emphasized scale and the human bond with books.

Studio Another Day, based in Nijmegen, Netherlands, is an award-winning design studio with a deep focus on editorial design and printed matter. Known for its playful and exploratory approach, the studio specializes in crafting sophisticated, high-end book projects. By thoughtfully integrating material and design choices, they enhance and elevate the narratives their projects aim to convey.
