With the rise of music streaming, and thus a parallel decline in physical music sales, indie bands rely on touring and live performance as a main source of profit. With the amount of data available through social networks and streaming platforms, it is easier to gain an understanding of connections within local musician scenes. Current maintains the essence of the DIY musician scene by supporting tours, while providing a resource for independent musicians to understand their network on tour. Current is a platform that helps artists connect to each other, build tours and review venues.
