Challenges tested my perseverance and problem-solving skills, whether it was managing tight deadlines, adapting to rapidly changing market trends, or overcoming creative blocks. Surprises ranged from unexpected opportunities that emerged as a result of the recognition to the valuable lessons learned from failures and setbacks.

Talking about the Several aspects of the competition have been truly motivating then, firstly; the platform provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase my work and gain recognition within the industry. This recognition has a ripple effect on my career, attracting exciting opportunities and collaborations. Secondly, the competitive aspect of the competition challenges me to continually push my creative boundaries and strive for excellence. It acts as a driving force to stay innovative and produce my best work. Lastly, the networking and connections formed during the competition have been invaluable. Connecting with fellow creatives and learning from their experiences is a great source of inspiration. So, I’m looking forward to the next edition, eager to once again be a part of this dynamic creative community and showcase my evolving work.

C2A: Staying current is an ongoing challenge. How do you currently keep abreast of new industry trends, and are there any emerging trends you’re excited to incorporate into your work?

Anjali Joshi: Staying current in our dynamic industry is an ongoing challenge, but I’ve adopted several strategies to keep abreast of new trends. I try to timely engage in industry-specific publications, attend conferences, and participate in webinars to ensure I’m up-to-date with the latest trends. Social media is on the day-to-day go-to keep myself updated as well. Additionally, I find great value in networking with industry peers, as these interactions often lead to insightful discussions on emerging trends. Collaborating with others in the field has also broadened my perspective. As for emerging trends I’m excited about, the integration of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) into creative projects is particularly fascinating. These technologies offer a whole new dimension for storytelling and user engagement, and I look forward to incorporating them into my work to create immersive and captivating experiences.

11. Inspiration Behind the Winning Project

C2A: Zooming in on your recent triumph, what inspired the winning project you submitted to the C2A Awards?

Anjali Joshi: Disney holds a universal fascination for people of all ages, capturing the hearts of both kids and adults with its magic. Over the years, I’ve keenly observed the evolution of Disney’s visuals, typography, and color schemes. While I may not have known the technical terminology for each creative aspect a few years ago, I could sense the transformation unfolding. Being deeply immersed in the creative side of life now, I’ve gained a clearer understanding of these terms and the transformation as well. The visual diary that I’ve been keeping in my mind over the years has finally found expression in my latest project, “Disney in Transition: Evolution of Disney Posters.” This project allowed me to breathe life into the images and concepts I’d envisioned, providing a fresh perspective on Disney’s artistic journey.
